The Workforce Development Board for Michigan Works! Southwest announces the award of a Going PRO Talent Fund Industry-Led Collaborative (ILC) grant totaling $138,065.

The W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research and the Michigan Works! Southwest Workforce Development Board recently announced Jakki Bungart-Bibb as the new director for Michigan Works! Southwest.

Michigan Works! Southwest will host an expungement event February 23 to help community members learn how to get criminal records expunged through the Clean Slate process and eliminate barriers.

There are many other resources available for veterans transitioning back to civilian life, including opportunities to find similar work to their military career, or training to change their career path completely!

Job seekers and students now have access to a new career exploration resource, Pure Michigan Talent Connect’s Career Explorer. Individuals can access the tool on their own, or Michigan Works! Southwest Career Coaches are taking appointments to guide people through the career exploration feature.
