Congratulations to Molly Fitz-Henry, Coordinator with KRESA Career Connect, on being selected as Michigan Works! Southwest’s August 2026 Shining Star!

Molly has been a dedicated and exceptional leader for many years, consistently demonstrating a commitment to excellence, innovation, and the young people and colleagues she serves. Under her leadership, the MyCITY program has grown into an extraordinary experience that has positively impacted hundreds of young people across the four counties we serve. Her vision and belief in continuous improvement have helped create meaningful opportunities that empower youth to explore their potential and shape their futures.

What truly sets Molly apart, however, is the way she leads. She genuinely cares about the people around her and is often the first to listen, offer support, and advocate for others. Her commitment to youth voice has been a driving force behind MyCITY’s success, creating an environment where young people feel heard, valued, and empowered to influence meaningful change.

Molly also leads with empathy and authenticity. She builds trust with those around her and creates a culture where people feel supported, respected, and encouraged to grow. Even as she has recently taken on additional responsibilities and navigated changes in her role, Molly has approached each challenge with grace, thoughtfulness, and professionalism.
