Workshop Descriptions

Digital Footprint –  Explore what a digital footprint is and unpack how your digital footprint is created as well as how your digital footprint impacts your employment opportunities. Your digital footprint can also be used to your advantage, and we will cover benefits and how to use them for good when seeking employment.

Networking – Have you ever applied for a position and with the hope that someone on the inside of the company would help move your application along? That’s exactly what networking does! In this workshop, we talk about the importance of networking before looking for employment and explore ideas for networking in the digital age.

Job Search – This workshop teaches job seekers how to create a plan to minimize the length or duration of their job search. Join us if you are in need of finding employment quickly or if your job search has been affected as a result of COVID-19.

Resumes –  In this session, career coaches will walk you through creating a standout and strategic resume. Resumes void of error and with a splash of personality are a must for catching the hiring manager’s eye. Join us to style your best resume that highlights your skills and experience.

Cover Letters – Discuss the importance of a well-written cover letter with the coaches. Do you find yourself skipping over the cover letter in a job application? Join us to learn why your cover letter is the cherry on top of your employment packet!

Application Basics – This workshop teaches job seekers how to properly fill out a job application. Do you ever get stuck on sensitive questions such as, “May we contact your previous employer?” or “Do you have a criminal background?” No need to stress; we help you find fitting answers to these questions to get you an interview.

Interviewing – In this workshop, we explore best practices for interviewing in the digital age. Interviews have changed significantly as a result of COVID-19, and it’s on you to stay up-to-date on best practices to ensure you are offered the job.

Professionalism–  Get schooled on how to remain professional in any setting! Join us as we discuss the importance – and fragility – of your professional reputation.

Professional Advocacy – It is so important to advocate for yourself in the workplace! Have you been with your employer for more than three years? Are you ready for more responsibility? Do you feel overlooked? Join us as we discuss the best course of action for advocating for yourself at work.

Customer Service – Customer service has the power to make or break any experience, and this session teaches best practices for job seekers who are looking to refresh their skills. Join us as we run through best practices relating to customer service, which is a transferable skill to any industry!
