Jakki Bungart-Bibb selected as one of 80 fellows for prestigious W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network

On behalf of the Michigan Works! Southwest system, we are pleased to announce that Michigan Works! Southwest Director, Jakki Bungart-Bibb, has been selected to join the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network with the Center for Creative Leadership. This innovative fellowship, soon to be in its fourth cohort, brings together 80 dynamic and diverse leaders from local communities and the national child- and family-serving ecosystem.

The 18-month fellowship curriculum prepares leaders to rise to the challenges of our time, leveraging collective leadership to effect system change. Through a variety of activities, fellows deepen their understanding of systems transformation and hone their skills in navigating differences and bringing people together around collaborative solutions.

“I am deeply honored to be selected as a W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellow,” says Bungart-Bibb. “At a time of great uncertainty, I believe this moment also brings unprecedented opportunity for collective, community-driven innovation and impact. I am excited to learn from extraordinary leaders from across the country, strengthen meaningful relationships, and continue building my leadership skills. Most importantly, I look forward to bringing back what I learn to better serve my region and enhance the work we are doing for families and communities.”

Class four of the WKKF Community Leadership Network fellowship will begin in January 2026 and continue for 18 months. Tribal leaders, elected officials, health practitioners, youth mentors, educators, businesspeople, attorneys, civil rights activists, and environment justice advocates among others will gather for six in-person and three virtual gatherings, in which the fellows will have a chance to build relationships and begin their journey of self-discovery and transformation.
